Cooking Instructions

Conventional Oven:
Preheat oven to 450°F. Arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet. Place in lower third of oven and heat for 9 minutes; remove from oven, flip and rest on hot baking sheet for 1 minute before serving.

Cooking Notes

The calamari came out a bit greasy in our tests, so we recommend resting them on a clean kitchen towel or paper towel to absorb some of the excess oil after cooking.

  1. First and last time I’ll buy these. Simply awful. No flavor over processed and terrible aftertaste. I’m extremely disappointed with this product but still a big fan of trader joes.

  2. Probably the worst frozen food I’ve tried from Trader Joe’s! The breading is under-seasoned and falls apart way too easily. The calamari itself is pretty flavorless as well. Following the instructions, the larger pieces came out raw. Yes, RAW! Cooking them for 15 min instead of 9 helped, but the taste was still pretty bad.

  3. Thanks for your feedback guys. We had some issues with this Calamari as well. Keep in mind – TJ’s has a great return/refund policy. They’ve never had an issue with us returning items we didn’t like.
